Whether you're on holiday in the area, have lived here all your life, or just moved, we'd love you to join us at one of our Sunday morning services.

We meet in Cliff Park Middle School, Orde Avenue, Gorleston-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth, NR31 6SZ. There is a handy map here which you can print or use to find directions from anywhere.

Our service starts at 10.30am and typically lasts about an hour and 15 minutes.

Notices at typical Sunday morning serviceOur worship is quite relaxed and informal, and we tend to have mostly modern worship songs led by a music group, though we normally include at least one traditional hymn because we like those too. There are no hymn books - all worship songs, readings, and responses are displayed on an overhead projector in large type. We have amplification for the worship leader and people reading or preaching, and also an induction loop for the hard-of-hearing.

There are few conventions about sitting and standing etc. - normally the worship leader will indicate this, but you may be surprised to find half of us doing one thing and half doing the other at some points in the service, so it really doesn't matter as long as you join in with as much as you feel able to.

There are toilets in the foyer behind the entrance.

Children

If you are bringing young children for the first time, it's important to know what to expect:

Carpet and cushions make life a bit easier for families with small childrenWe do have a staffed crèche for children up to the age of 4 and you can stay with them there if you like, but you're also welcome to keep them in the main service; there are carpeted areas at both sides with cushions and toys where you can relax with your children and still listen to the sermon and be involved throughout the service. Our aim here is to make you and your children as comfortable and relaxed as we can.

Older children usually stay in for about 1/3 of the service and then go to their own groups held in side rooms. This isn't always the case because we do have 'all-age' services on the 2nd Sunday of each month, and throughout the summer holidays. Once again, it's entirely up to you and them whether they do this or stay with you.

The groups are organised by age as follows :-

  • Kidz Church : 4-10 (Reception to Year 6)
  • Q3 : 10-14 (Year 6 - 9)
